U.S. Patent #US 3,408,0990 Bicycle Having Adjustable Handlebar and Seat was patented in 1968 by Albert J. Fritz and Frank P. Brinando and assigned to the Schwinn Bicycle Company. This vintage Schwinn was famous for its banana seat design that was used in a variety of models like the Stringray. This bike had many nicknames - wheelie bike, muscle bike, high riser and spyder bike. It was designed to look like the chopper motorcycles that were very popular in that era.
