This patent image was created by using U.S. Patent #US 2,786,305 Toy Tractor patented in 1957 by its inventor Joseph H. Carter. This toy tractor was designed to better emulate a real tractor. As such, it added a caster mounting for the front wheels to improve its maneuverability and avoid tire scuffs from children's play that were common in older designs where the wheels didn't turn.
