This patent image was created by using U.S. Patent #US 1,320,935 Gas Mask patented in 1919 by its inventor Nathan Schwartz. This patent addresses several improvements in gas masks for military and industrial purposes. They include filtering to prevent breathing in noxious or poisonous air, a method of exhaling to the outside of the mask to prevent carbon dioxide buildup and a design that allows proper vision and comfort while worn.
