This patent image was created by using U.S. Patent #US 3,021,095 Jet Pack Propulsion Unit which was patented in 1962 by Wendell F. Moore and assigned to Bell Aerospace Corp. This jet pack was developed to allow military personnel a means of transportation with a portable rocket propulsion system. By designing it to be lightweight and easy to attach and remove, it was presented as an ideal personal jet system to ferry soldiers distances of up to two to three miles safely and reliably.
