This patent image was created by using U.S. Patent #US 353,395 of a vintage steam locomotive patented in 1886 by its inventor Henry K. Adams. This locomotive design was created to work on tracks that experienced light traffic - such as pole roads in lumbering regions, tramways in cities and towns and temporary rail tracks for specific projects. It was built with greater clearance to handle the oddities of these types of tracks.
